VID, Virtual Image Display, is a new compact and rugged Multi-Purpose display suitable for a number of military and civil applications. The display is suitable for combat vehicles, aircraft, helicopters and naval vessels using sensors such as EO, IR, LLTV and radars.

The new Virtual Image Display (VID) unit comprises a small Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display and high performance magnifying optics. With the sealed aluminium casing it provides a small and light weight rugged display unit. It has excellent readability and image quality also in difficult ambient light conditions. The compact design allows installation in very restricted spaces. Compared to a conventional CRT-based design the OLED VID is about half the size. The collimating lens provides a comfortable viewing distance even when the physical distance to the unit is small.
